We answer the phone Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 6:00pm, except during meal times when our educators are with the children. If we don't pick up, please leave a message and we'll call back the same day.

On-site parking is available for drop-off and pickup. The centre is a 4-minute walk from West Ryde Station, on the T9 Northern Line.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm.
Open 50 weeks per year. Closed on public holidays and for two weeks over the Christmas / New Year period.

Book a tour

Tours run during the week, at quieter moments. Each tour takes about 30 minutes; you'll see all 4 rooms, meet the educators, see the kitchen and the outdoor space, and have time to ask questions. To book, use the tour form on the homepage or call us on 02 9858 5333.

Waitlist

Enrolments for 2026 and 2027 are open. The waitlist form is on the homepage at /#tour. Joining the waitlist is free. We contact you when a place looks likely to come up for the days you've requested.

About the centre

West Ryde Long Day Care Centre is a 79-place long day care and preschool centre for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. We have 4 age-banded rooms (Joeys 0-2, Jungle 2-3, Star 3-4, Rainbow 4-6), every meal cooked on site by our chef, and the same director since the centre opened in 2007. We are Child Care Subsidy approved and serve families from West Ryde, Ryde, Meadowbank, Eastwood, Ermington, Denistone and Dundas Valley.
